Reinstate the ability for the public to go to their local dump and pick up items of interest to take home. The people who work there could even operate this as a personal interest. This ability was valued by locals. If a better scheme has been found now, the old one is stopped, public size and celebrate it because so many miss this resource. If somehow items are being gathered andtaken to a central place, remember that many people do not have Transport. They used to just walk in by items for a few pence and take them home.
